Hening grew up in Cilacap, Indonesia till she finished her Senior High School. She graduated from Borobudur University in Jakarta, Indonesia with a degree in English. She and her husband Billy Lawson live in Jakarta.
This grandmother to be is interested in quilting since 1980’s when she received a lot of fabric stash from her designer friend. Not knowing what to do with it, she cut it to rectangle shapes and ‘voila’ she made her first bed cover.
Instantly, she fell in love with fabric art and started to make several more but due to lack of access to quilting information, she mostly only work on appliqué, which become her passion until now.
Loves creating small quilts for babies’ lap quilt, throw, wall hanging and bags simply because she likes giving it to relatives and see their faces when received it.
In 2010, after taking several quilt courses since 2008 and join quilt guilds in her area, she decided to become professional and hoping to be able to share her passion with others.
