Turning ordinary fabric into beautiful keepsakes…

“Flourishes” top quilt finally done. Waiting for batting and then hand quilting it. Needleturn applique. Queen size bed.

I bought this pattern few years ago in a quilt shop in Singapore that already closed down now. I always love applique so when I found this pattern at the shop I took it without any hesitation. It contains 12 square blocks. I love the patchwork combination at the corners.

Early this year I found this pattern again in my drawer and decided to start to work on it. It took me about 4 months to work on the applique. By the end of May, I finished the top and now will start hand quilting process.

  1. You do such beautiful work. I am jealous of your applique skills.

  2. Thank you very much for you encouraging words, Lori. Much appreciated! 🙂
